Septic Tank, Treatment Plant & Reed Bed Construction
Here at Pipescan, we are fully trained to undertake maintenance and replacement/renewal work to existing septic tank and treatment plants as well as carrying out new installations. We work alongside a number of Suppliers of Treatment plants ensuring that we can give the customer the most suitable option for plant/tank design to suit their individual needs. New treatment plants can come in many different shapes and sizes from Small Sewage Treatment Plants also known as a package treatment plants to larger Population tanks that serve multiple properties. We also work alongside industry leading companies such as UKDP in surveying diagnosing installing and repairing all types of plants / tanks.
By the 1st of January, 2020 Septic Tanks will no longer be allowed to discharge directly to a surface water such as a river or stream. If your septic tank is currently discharging into a surface water this will need upgrading to a suitable treatment plant to avoid being in breach of the new regulations. Septic Tanks not discharging directly to a water course but to a soakaway in close proximity to one will also fall foul of the new general binding rules. Full details of the General Binding Rules can be found on the Government website by clicking Here.
As many customers are now being made aware non-compliant septic tanks and treatment plants will be flagged in pre-sale property purchases.
Should you wish to enquire about any of the above or would like some advice regarding the new rules and options available please feel free to contact ourselves by clicking Here.
Here at Pipescan we also offer ground testing services (porosity testing and borehole sampling) to allow suitable soak away / drainage field design for new installations or replacing failed existing Soakaways / drainage fields.
We also offer full maintenance packages for the on-going upkeep of all Septic Tank / Treatment plants.
Reed beds are structures created to harness the natural ecological processes that enable the breakdown of organic matter in wastewater. We are also on the Environment Agencies approved list, something that is important because of the strict guidelines surrounding work of this nature. It might sound like a complicated process, but our experienced team will be there every step of the way to ensure the best results from your reed bed construction.
